It has been 4yrs since my wife and I had stayed here. We wrote a nice review then....and it still holds true. We are from Ga and live in a small town in a home from 1877. So, this place fits the bill. Service is "Old School".....so kind and friendly . You KNOW they appreciate your business. No TV, or crazy loud crowds. And the beach....out your front door. This is our favorite hotel in our favorite village...... We will always stay here when in Florida.
The owners Bob and Geri are very down to earth and very pleasant to talk to. The manager Adam was very accommodating and also a pleasure to deal with. You leave feeling like you made new friends. It's like stepping back in time as soon as you walk throught the doors . Loved this place!
Had a wonderful time. Everyone was so friendly it seemed like you were staying with family. Beautiful view of the ocean from our room couldn't ask for more will definitely be going back soon. Thank you Adam and Bob keep it up.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is a blast from the past with good-hearted people running it. It definitely has character and is an old historic building. My fiance and I really enjoyed talking with the owner and manager. We sat out on the porch and watched a thunderstorm as it went over the Gulf of Mexico. We really felt at home. It is definitely a fun adventure and something a bit different from the chain hotels for sure. If you're into historic you will like this hotel.
Loved our stay! The room with twin beds is a bit firm so depending on your preference. The owner and staff are freaking incredible. The friendliest down home experience I’ve had in years. Add to that it’s “haunted” so that’s fun too! Bucket list: check! The beach is right there. Parking pass included with stay. Lots of great places to eat. Very relaxing spot as opposed to the super touristy locations. Bathrooms are very tight as they were built over a hundred years ago and called water closets. Watch the sun come up on one side and go down on the other.
Bob was extremely pleasant along with his wife. All to be expected from a historical lodging landmark. We loved the old history. We very much enjoyed our experience and very close to beach with great sunsets and fishing. Look forward to our next stay!
My family and I loved our stay here. The staff were very kind and incredibly helpful and accommodating. The prices were well below any other place we looked into and the view at all times was breathe taking. I did have to sleep with the light on due to the hotel being haunted but I, as well as my husband and daughter, slept like babies here. I actually had a feeling of calm so If it is haunted they must be kind ghost. All three of us would recommend The Castle Hotel to anyone.
Super cool little hotel. Adam the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The owners were also very pleasant. Great low key mellow place to stay. Nothing fancy but stellar hospitality and location. Dog friendly which is helpful being close to the only dog friendly beach in the area.
